To lose weight safely, you need to eat fewer calories than you burn up in your daily activities. However, this does not mean a drastic reduction in your daily food consumption, don't worry about small daily changes in your weight. You should not lose more than 1 to 2 pounds a week. Its not just about losing weight, its also about keeping it off. On some occasions especially at the start of your 14 week programme you could lose more than 1 or 2 pounds a week, this is normal. Also there may be weeks when you do not lose weight, this is also normal, stay on your programme as you will again start to lose weight.
